Hell, the University of Tennessee predates the EXISTENCE of Texas as a State by a half century.

I also did a test of my own.
I was once in a Tokyo Japan classroom and asked 72, 8 year old children about the term "UT". Every single one of them associated "UT" with The University of Texas at Austin!
