Yea, but if they got caught driving fast in their own car after hours, the hospital would not be liable in any way.

If Pearce didn’t beg to get arrested by being a jack arse, you wouldn’t know he got a speeding ticket, but go ahead and explain how you would.

We are going off the same exact info. Our guys drive their fast cars fast. Pretty damn naive to think speeding on happens with uga players.

Transparency has become an issue. Following the street racing fatalities, over 25 individuals from the program have faced arrests or citations for traffic-related offenses. Kirby resorts to NIL penalties as a form of discipline. However, his attempt to limit transparency with “Kirby’s Law” in 2016, a move meant to buy time for addressing off-field concerns, doesn’t help his credibility. UGA supporters should hold the athletic department accountable and stop the spinning narrative.

Imagine if you put this much effort into something productive instead of defending your program's shitty, relaxed attitude around a concerning number of their player's driving recklessly.

We are not going off the same info. You’re going off assumptions and hypotheticals meanwhile your players are in the news constantly. Plus, the death that occurred. You are truly delusional

Not a chance in hell that happens. Just look at the idiots on this board making excuses for all of it. Too many ugag supporters define their lives by the success or failure of that football program. Winning, regardless of the cost, is all that matters.

What are you recommendations? We already have done corporal punishment, kicked a kid off, fines, suspensions, defending driving classes. Auto kick off are unreasonable and wouldn’t fly pretty much anywhere. So not much left.

Do you really think your coach would kick off a player for driving fast? Really?

I'm saying that they need a comprehensive, written, plan discussing the issue and exactly what the plan is to deal with it in order to protect themselves.

They have one. Such a plan is never going to involve throwing a player off the team for a first driving offense, in which no one was injured. Such a plan is also always going to include allowing the legal system to run its course, extraordinary circumstances notwithstanding.

You really should learn to quote posts.

Always, I am making Safe assumptions:

1. People drive fast everywhere, especially when they have fast cars.

2. Traffic citations are only newsworthy for uga, and only uga beat writer types actively seek out such info.

3. You wouldn’t have known about Pearce’s citation if he didn’t act a fool to the cop.

We are here to waste time. I am not going to pretend there is a magic wand to make people drive their fast cars slow. That’s a nonsense take.

UT players and a lot of teams are dealing with this.

Yawn, young people drive fast and all your schools recruited these same kids.

Many of you would be then first to tell someone to shut up and mind their business if it were your family.

Melt counts.

It would certainly be very bad PR, but being legally liable is another matter. If John Doe were to run someone over while racing in their own car on their own time, there’s no way anyone could reasonably argue that their employer is somehow responsible, even if other employees had done the same previously.

So you think it is beyond the realm of earthly possibilities that Delvin Willock got behind the wheel of the UGA vehicle instead of LeCroy? Not possible? A UGA staffer getting too drunk to drive and asked an equally drunk Willock to use the UGA vehicle that ended up killing someone? You think UGA flies under the radar there without having any liability when their employee allowed a student athlete to drive drunk in a company vehicle? It is obvious that some UGA employees party with the players. You don't think that allows for some joint liability events? Especially now that there is a very clear pattern of behavior where few tangible steps have been taken by the university to address it? Good freaking luck.

When athletes or anyone is misbehaving, anything and everything will happen. You cannot control every possibility and there are plenty of scenarios that can come back on the university, even legal liability you never thought could happen, when some of your players disregard the safety of people on the roads.

What part of “in their own car” did you get confused about?
We aren’t talking about a uga vehicle here.
