If it makes you feel better.
In reality, it was a year when they were much better than normal.
What's gotta piss LSU fans off is that Vandy gave them the blueprint and your coach was too fricking stupid to implement it and got blown out @ home instead.

You’d know about projecting 3rd10.
When Alabama is losing 3-4 games every year and still pretends to be a national championship contender, wake me up.

No, we are not. From 2006-2012 the SEC won over 60% of national championships in the big three; men’s basketball (3 of 7), baseball (3 of 7), and football (7 of 7).
With football being the most important sport, there is no way anyone can make a valid argument that the SEC was not at it’s peak during those 7 years.

With NIL and the portal the Big 10 will keep the SEC from ever dominating college sports like that again. We have seen that with Ohio State and Michigan winning two of the last three.

I'm sure having nearly double the amount of teams we should has something to do with that

Vanderbilt has clearly surpassed LSU. They beat a team that beat LSU 42-13.
Alabama had it’s worst season in around 20 years and still curb stomped LSU. The 29 point margin of victory was higher than LSU’s largest ever in the series, which Alabama leads 57-27-5. LSU needs to win the next 30 games in a row to tie the series up.
