i have no expectations Clemson is going to do much in basketball. it has no natural recruiting advantages like it does in other sports. outside of two blowouts, it was in every game this year.

that's not any worse than Duke losing to SC, Leheigh or Mercer, and they got a lot more talent.
SC lost 5 out of 7 last regular season games then got a homecrowd advantage as a 7 seed b/c the NCAA wanted to gin up backlash against HB2 in NC.

how so, the final teams in the NIT are all low seeds. lot of parity. and Oakland had better guards. you don't know anything about their team. you jus tsay, it is Oakland, thus Clemson should have won.

my criticism of the home court advantage for a 7 seed isn't related to gamecocks. i've never seen that in the tourney before. i don' thtink it was fair to Duke or any of the other teams in the tourney.
