Flutie actually tore it the frick up in the usfl and cfl. The usfl had just as much talent as the nfl or pretty close for a year or two when flutie came in.
And flutie was ok with the bears even though he was last his physical prime.

Luck can run as well as any of the guys save Kap. I don't know what Kap is....Polish, Mexican, Black, Italian?...some kind of mix.

Flutie beat the Univ of New Jawsey @ Coral Gables, Bama and others with his heroics...he just wasn't gifted naturally with prototype size.,..barely 5'10" and his running ability wasn't his skillset...he could pick apart defenses with accurate throws.
He made a lotta $$ with TV commercials.

... how did Flutie do in the USFL, CFL and NFL? Was he first round multi-millions worthy?
Wasn't that right about the time LBs and DEs were getting bigger and faster and changing the game, taking away from the rambling scrambling Fran Tarkenton type QBs?
Is Manziel better than, or even equal to, the great white scramblers such as Flutie, Tarkenton, Zorn, Staubach, Elway and Young?

Archie got a bum deal having to go to New Orleans, much as George Rogers did having to go to New Orleans. It shortened both of their careers

I agree he wasn't just some miracle throw QB. He was pretty popular QB then. he was a heisman finalist his Jr year. I'm pretty sure he had the NCAA all time passing yards when he was finished. Who had a better year than him? BYU's Bosco maybe but looked who they played. kosar?
