That's completely untrue. The vast majority liked the hire a lot. We didn't really like BK, but thought he was a good choice based on what he did at his previous stops. He turned us back into a winner immediately and won all of his bowl games, but never got us to the next level (playoffs and challenging for a NC). Onto the next guy.
But Coach O and Miles won NCs here. It doesn't take a lot. So fans should are naturally excited about a coach that has already proven he can win consistently in the SEC with lesser talent than the biggest programs in the SEC.

You're mixing up Pat Haden with Nick Saban. Saban never left anyone on the tarmac. That happened when he was at USC.
