I mean earn it with a conference championship the only way in those suckazz leagues

My boy graduated WP last year. 21 hours (computer science) was a routine load, in addition to rowing crew and being a company commander. Football (and other NCAA athletes) get to miss some of the academy stuff, but nowhere near all.
Did a year of grad school (engineering) at Stanford and said it was a vacation.
Lots to criticize about how the military is run, but the rank and file are still a different breed.
