Jackson Arnold will end up being the better college QB imo. His ceiling is higher but the lights haven't come on for him yet and the game is still too fast for him mentally.
Your coach gave up on him too fast.
Hawkins is a gamer who's not afraid of the big stage, but as a passer, he's a dink and dunker and is pretty limited overall. If the Vols prepped for him instead of Arnold and played defense as if the score was tied or tight game still, his numbers would have been pathetic. Seen this story a million times. Backup comes in against the bend but don't break defense because the other team is up big and just wants to sit on that lead by working the clock.

SEC east and that's because we literally hired the three worst coaches in our program's history after Kiffin did one year only before bolting for his dream job.
The problem was our AD and good old boy system of boosters and Fulmer meddling with everything.
Danny White came in and immediately cleaned house. We can be Alabama level good with a coach as good as Saban.
Alabama is not a better program than us. They just made better decisions recently besides our very recent star coaching hires of course.

I know. I meant sec west because Auburn was in the west and people were talking shite about OU beating Auburn.

The game i watched showed a pretty darn good OU Defense stifling that Offense. I even noted
