Vols have had an excellent week of practice heading in this Pitt game

"It’s been a good week of practice so far and looking forward to finishing the preparation before we head out to Pittsburgh later this week,” said Heupel. “We faced them a year ago and understand who they are and what they’re about, and we’re excited to go show who we are and excited to go play this one.”
I feel like we have had this and ofcourse the Florida game circled this entire off season.
Expect fire works from Tennespeed this weekend.
We will not play vanilla like we did in our first game against Ball State. I expect us to throw the kitchen sink at them, especially on defense.

Man, honestly y'all should handle them. I wasn't overly impressed with Pitt's offense vs. West Virginia. The only thing that gives me pause is that it's basically a home game for them.
I'm surprised this game isn't getting more hype.

I think so too, but i would not be surprised to see Hooker a bit rusty looking his first few snaps unless we turn him loose on the ground some early on.
Like most true dual threats, his confidence and swagger go up immensely when he tucks with the ball and barrels his shoulder into a few defenders for a first down or two.
Hooker is an elite passer when he is clicking, but i want to see him take full advantage of his other assets as well.
Josh Dobbs was the same way only not as good as a pure passer. When he took off with the ball and got dirty with it though, his game would immediately up to a new level.

This isn't the Kenny Pickett team from last season, but Pitt is still not a pushover. I think Vols win but Pitt keeps it close.

Still a win over a Power 5 team. Pitt was very good last season with Pickett. As much as I like Bryce Young, I still think Pickett deserved the Heisman for going 11-2 with that team. We'll see if they can win 10 games again, but they deserve the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise.
