Do you watch football other than when Auburn is playing? Because if you do, then you would know that McElwain has been running those formations since he got there.
You run your plays out of the formations you reguarly use. Those are formations we regularly use.
So Bama runs high school gimmicky plays?
Look here bammers, this isn't hard to figure out, even for bammers.
If you talk shite about other teams running jet sweeps, reverses, wildcat etc, that means those plays better not be in your playbook, if they are, you are simply a hypocrite.
If they are gimmicks when Auburn run them, well they are gimmicks when bama runs them.
Simply put, when you mock AU when we run the plays, you're essentially mocking your own team b/c they run the same exact plays.
Why is this so hard to comprehend?

What is so hard to comprehend about the part where the only plays Alabama run that are similar to Auburn's, are plays that every team in the country runs, NOT the stupid gimmicky shite. Plus, when you throw in something gimmicky every once in a while to catch the defense offguard, its one thing, but when they are regularly called plays in your offense, they are something totally different.
So no, we are NOT mocking our own team for running high percentage plays. We are mocking your team for running trick plays in their regular stable of plays instead of using them the same way other teams use them. Which is to surprise teams with something out of the ordniary.
Why is THAT so hard to comprehend?

We really don't run that many "trick plays." Maybe 1 or 2 more a game than most teams, but I really don't think that puts Malzahn's offense into the "gimmick" category.
