Sold it.
It got brokededed and I didnt feel like doing what needed to be done to fix it. Was gonna need a new tub and a whole lot more and I was just not interested in putting that much MORE work into it.
It was on D60's with a 351 Windsor/C6 tranny
Loved that jeep but I had had enough at that point.
This is a pic of it shortly before its last boo boo.

A couple years ago I had a Geo Tracker that I was gonna put 44 high pinions under with dual transfercases, all 4 linked. But then I got married.

I dont really take pics of it. But have one when taking the shitty 6cyl engine out

Honestly, not all that bad. its all in having the right tools. The new jeeps are made for HEMI's, I dont know why they dont offer it or a Diesel(which they do in every other country)
Posted on 6/7/11 at 3:24 pm to NYCAuburn
a diesel wrangler would be amazing. thats actually why i asked, you seem knowledgeable and i have always wondered if it is physically possible to drop a diesel into..say.. an f150?

ESPN/ABC didn't shell out over a BILLION dollars to televise Big 10 games only to have the #1 commodity in that deal be taken away because of some low rent tattoo parlor.
I am beginning to think that the NCAA is realizing it has such a growing monster on their hands that they won't give a flying rats arse what networks think. The network really can't impose stipulations on the NCAA on how to handle discipline when the schools in question never fulfilled their side of the deal and remain eligable to play. If anything the networks should be able to sue the schools in question if they lose revenue related to said school being banned from television.

Possibly the easiest diesel swap in history. LOL
Lots of the 250 and 350's came with diesels so they fit fine. Advanced Adapters has an adapter to make anything fit in bascily anything. Prolly just a matter of custom motor mounts for that swap. The wiring is the bitch of a motor swap always, and even that is made easier with companies like Painless Wiring making custom wiring harnesses and such.

Those 250/350 diesels are big and heavy though. maybe even too big for a 150. it would probably be a bitch as you would need to get a 3.9 cummings 4bt or something to fit size/weight wise. then run dual computers(guessing you have a newer truck) plus the wiring.
I know it sounds sexy, but i would not recomend it. you could probably get away cheaper buying a gas 250 and putting a powerstroke in it. or just finding a 250 with a deisel.
engine swaps on new vehicles, that are not meant to have that engine are not cheap, trust me, I know

Oh shite, frick that, thats a new one. I was thinking an older truck, like 90's or older.
Yeah, you are MUCH better off selling that and buying 250 diesel.

are you wanting more power or gas mileage?

i can't do that! i love it! plus i have gone through enough cars, my 97 ram died on me and we sold the V10 F250 to my grandma to pull her horse trailer. and i don't need that much of a truck.

both. it already has exhaust and i am looking into getting a cold air intake.
what are your opinions on programmers/chips for gas trucks?

Eh, I'm never a fan of regearing unless its for offroad or racetrack purposes.
Programmers work really well, and they are customizable. Plus if you dont like a program, you can change for no additional cost. If you regear, and you dont like it, you are pretty much stuck unless you wanna pay to have the gears swapped back out.
Posted on 6/7/11 at 4:38 pm to ThaKaptin
Regearing sounds pricey. Right now all I have into it is 35 in all terrains, rims, exhaust, and a 2in leveling kit. Now I wanna improve the mileage cause it went from damn good to uh oh. Also, these newer f150, while powerful, are slower than christmas. My 250 would murder this one
Posted on 6/7/11 at 4:54 pm to Damn Good Dawg
I am not suggesting some crazy gearing like 5.38 but if you don't have 4.10's then you need it. The raptor edt comes with 4.10 and 35's. It will save you 2-3 miles a gallon plus you will get that low end power.
Don't bother with a cold air, just get a kn drop in. You are wasting money with a cold air. And if you are going a programmer/chip route go with something like the diablo or a custom programmer route. But you will be left craving more. Gears don't sound flashy but they are worth it.
Do you know what gears you have now.
