Well yeah, if you compare our worst endzone to their best, it's not close. I prefer our best vs their best and there's no question our worst is better than than their worst. They have the upper deck advantage on the sideline though that makes the stadium more intimidating on the sidelines. I like State's concourses better too.

They really did. No issue there. Ours was built to have something temporary in place for a decade before we go in for further expansion. It really won't matter once people are in the stadium.

Looks like a bunch of letters and numbers in blue to me.

Why didn't they mirror the other end zone ??

not trying to be a dick, but neither state nor ole miss has the need for further expansion. unless you're talking about premium seating, Ole Miss and state just do not have the numbers to justify anything bigger than what they just built. And how is that a temporary fix? Do y'all plan on tearing down the building behind the new expansion in the future? I thought that was a no-go period and why you built what you did.

Two buildings were in the way preventing the mirror. Would have cost about 15 million more and another year before completion. They instead used the money on other parts of the stadium like lights and sound system and gave the football facility an 11 million dollar renovation.

Well you were misinformed it's not a no go.
Fed ex is the sponsor of that building and has committed to a new building. When that will happen is tbd. But that building will come down and the north will reflect the south. 10-12 years from now.
This is a cheap place filler until that building can be replaced and then removed. Also they used this renovation to drive in money for basketball stadium.

Well considering we have sold out 4 seasons in a row when we had never sold out of season tickets back to back years, and given we sold out of tickets faster than we ever have and did it in an expansion year, I have to disagree with you. Both programs are in much better shape than they have been in the modern era. We won't need huge expansions but we already have a 1k+ waiting list for tickets the year of an expansion.
Yes eventually the buildings behind the NEZ would be torn down but that's 12-15 years away. The next two expansions/renovations will be on the East and West sidelines.

We actually did need this expansion for our student population is expanding pretty fast and this year we're expanding the student seating, in comparison to the 2014 seating capacity the expansion is only adding about 2000 non student seats (in 2015 we added premium seats which took away some of our capacity). Pretty much this whole expansion was about expanding the student seats.

y'all have both also experienced more success than you ever have in the modern era of football. when y'all have a cyclical dip, those numbers will not be the same. a 1k waiting list is not that big. and when expanding the stadium you have to account for the future, not what demand is right now. you two just flat out do not have the alumni base or population in the state of Mississippi to support a stadiums of 70k+

1. You are wrong. Ole Miss is pumping out more alumni than ever before and they are moving to places like Memphis, Nashville, Dallas and Birmingham so they are within driving distance. We also have a larger sidewalk alumni base than ever before. I see the Ole Miss brand everywhere I travel now. We're a big time program and have made tremendous strides in the past five years. Oxford itself is bursting at its seams. We aren't going to need 100k seats but we could fill a 72k stadium right now with no issue.
2. Vaught Hemingway needs more premium seating along the east and west sides than we need to simply add more seats. Ole Miss needs to replicate the ways we make the Grove so attract inside the stadium with premium areas and amenities like Tiger Stadium has on the side facing the MS River. We have the nicest basketball and baseball facility in the conference but our football stadium has a ways to go.

Nicest Basketball Facility
Arkansas, LSU, South Carolina, and Texas A&M all have as nice as or nicer baseball facilities than does Ole Miss. Alabama's new stadium will also be comparable when it's complete

LSU...
You mean the stadium that is made of aluminum bleachers with a dirt and gravel parking lot surrounded by the smell of cows across the street? Place is not nicer than O-U Stadium.

more premium seating, bigger stadium, better overall facilities. and the chairbacks extend well beyond 3rd base. you also addressed one of the 5 teams mentioned and ignored basketball entirely. wonder why

Wow. It does look good. I like how low-rise bowled stadiums look. (Kind of like Rose Bowl Stadium)

Why would they dip? Neither coach is leaving and their resources only improve. And 1k seat waiting list the year of an expansion is a lot. Meaning we could start another expansion of 4K next year and fill it up, yet you are saying we won't ever expand again. Next expansion will be in the 5k seat range and won't be completed until the 2019 season at the earliest. You aren't being logical. You're just arguing your original, uninformed post

Mississippi people are so accustomed to small towns and zero growth that a town of 25,000 is "bursting at its seams".
You have no concept of scale or prestige, because there isn't anything "big" or "prestigious" within 300 miles of you.
Ole Miss is still a small school, and your athletic program is still a small-revenue school in comparison to other SEC programs.
You just don't know any better, though. Bless your heart.
