Agree....but they do have a couple of National Championships they don't claim....according to the , BERRYMAN QPRS ,
which gives Vandy the best team in the nation award for 1920 and 1921 under their
winningest coach, Dan McGugin. McGugin coached Vandy two separate periods, spending more time in
his law practice.
For years he ruled supreme in Dixie, and his teams won many glorious intersectional victories. More than any one man, he was responsible for the progress of southern football....
