The fact they made the tournament is such a joke

OU beat more ranked teams and had zero quad 2-4
You were 4-12 in quad 1. That’s not good enough. And your team made a habit of choking down the stretch

mind you we had 3 starters injured for last 8 games
Nobody else had injuries? Oklahoma was the only team in the country to have players banged up after 30+ games?

I dont understand why an elite high school player would want to play for that kind of offense. It is offensive.

They obviously don't. UVA may as well fire the coach today because eventually they're going to have to. That style of play is boring and will not appeal to most young players today.

I’d rather watch the goggled center from Indiana State

I agree.

Obviously their schedule was worse than just about anybody in the Top 50, but Kenpom has them at #43 (vs. #73 for Virginia).

And really the ACC wasn't that much better anyway — they only got four other teams in.

Indiana State is also #28 in the NET.

NET has been a very odd metric this year. And one I haven't entirely agreed with for a lot of teams.

Yeah, I think it's been a really difficult year for metrics in general.

There is very little statistical data that will support winning by 20 and then turning around and losing by 20, which seemed to happen a lot this season (around the country).

I really don't know why that was the case IRL, but I think that much of a significant swing is just really hard for an algorithm to compensate for, since it's mostly attempting to smooth data, or fit it to a curve for prediction purposes.

no not many if any teams had 3 starters injured at once . Think OU was like 14-6 before the injuries …. We are not playing a sec schedule. We played in the big 12 …. Alittle different level of teams . We played around 10 ranked teams this year including 2 ooc. The level of the teams we played your going to take more losses that’s just the way it is. Our sor was like 28th which is plenty good enough to get in . The big 12 is rough . Kansas lost 2 starters .

UVA has one of the worst offense in the country and play at one of the slowest paces in the country also. But don’t act like you’re surprised that Virginia made it over a mid major. March Madness is all about money, and that’s all the NCAA cares about.

Indiana State is the first team ever to have a NET ranking in the top 30 to be left out.

A basket every four minutes isn’t even middle school ball.
