I don't think he has anything at all to gain by playing at this point but an awful lot to lose not just in terms of injury but also in terms of looking rusty because he's been out so long and/or hasn't had time to gel with the rest of the team. There's just not much to gain.
That said, if he really does want to just play then you have to respect that and hope he does ok/goes injury free and doesn't jeopardize his draft status.

Here is one. I'm not going to waste anymore time digging others up, but everyone who covers our basketball beat has reported he had a clearance appt today.

The rumor is coming from a "insider" on another board. It's a rumor, and I stated it as such in the OP.
Again though, it's been widely reported that his DR appt was today. The rumor is that the DR has cleared him for full participation.

Right. It's a rumor. That's why I stated it was.
I was only pointing out the difference that this one comes on the heels of the known DR appt vs dickcheese mcgee stating it on TigerBoard.

I'll tell you this, IF he really is coming back then Mizzou just became a scary 8 or 9 seed.
The SEC is going to put in 5 or so 6-10 Seeds that could make the Sweet 16.

Mizzou fans better be patient for a kid coming back from major back injury to be productive on the court. Plus, be in game shape and gel with the other on the team is going to take awhile.
