We used the Rams plane mostly when flying. But we usually only flew 1 a year for football and TWA was our carrier. For basketball, we flew with Executive Air or something like that, and generally flew day of game, most schools fly night before to get a normal and shoot around in. Baseball flew commercial.

You can track the planes by their tail number here..

If the university has something to hide, they'll block the ability to track their airplane though.

So a university has the ability to fly without a transponder and doesn't have to file a flight log? Hmmmm...

a flight log and transponder has nothing to do with flightaware,,,do you ever see military planes on flight aware?????

I do think that flightaware uses the transponder info, but has the ability to block tail numbers if the owner requests it.

You'll find lots of televangelists will block the tracking of their aircraft. But that's another story.

Of course these are commercial airlines and not owned by the university.
