holy shite, I just looked up Pinkel's record, and conveniently he started in 2001 just like Richt did. Trying to compare these 2 guys' careers and accomplishments is laughable. Pinkel had 1 really standout year, which already stated they still finished ranked behind us. Other than that there's some pretty good years, to average years, to some downright awful years.

'm not sure "on paper" if we have any matchups in our favor. Granted I think this somewhat has to do with the fact that UGA is generally at least a little overrated because Richt recruits so well.
I do think our OLine is going to surprise some people as we have Elvis Fischer coming back for his medical redshirt year at LT, and he was potentially going to get some NFL consideration had he not got hurt. His replacement last year was Justin Britt who did a very good job and absolutely dominated Quentin Coples in the bowl game. Britt will now move to RT.
At QB I think if Franklin is healthy it will almost be a wash, as I think he can be one of the top 4 qb's in the SEC this year, same with Murray.
DL i think is where UGA has the biggest advantage but that's just because we have some many question marks. Sheldon Richardson could very well develop into his 5* talent this year and become a beast (Would be huge for the team). As for DE, if Brad Madison can get back to his Sophomore year stats that would be great. Apparently last year he had a nagging shoulder injury that plagued him all year. And Kony Ealy was all over the field in Spring Practices. People were comparing his growth from Freshman to Sophomore year to that of Aldon Smith.

Before coming to the SEC I respected the knowledge of the fanbase, but I've come to realize you inbred fricks don't know anything about players or programs outside of the SEC.

I'm sure we have a better knowledge of the Texas, USC, Oklahoma, FSU's of the world than Missouri. Outside of 2007 why should any SEC fan be concerned with what missouri's been doing? There's been no reason to. We know when there's something big (like Chase Daniel being a national name), but other than that, pre-SEC why should we be keeping up with the names of half your defense?
