Well Dan Enos was their first choice, but Kirby forgot to look at his contract before calling Bielema and asking permission. God that must have been awkward.

I mean, nothing wrong with calling, right?

Could have saved himself a phone call and an awkward conversation if he had just checked the contract and noted that pesky little non-compete clause. Bert asked Mr. Smart to kindly move along on his way.

Just curious, are these contracts public? Like can I go look it up?

1. Nothing small about Bert
2. Not a gloat. Just pleased that he came here so he could hire and retain top assistants. And now that's playing out.

I doubt Enos wants to be a part of another Saban protege first time head coach experiment. Those have a tendency to not work out so well.

Frank Cignetti and Josh Henson are both available. They'd be fools not to grab one of those two.

Apples and oranges. The Saban impact wore off on Muschamp a LONG time ago. He got infected by Tubberville and Mack Brown instead.

Kirby should hire steve sarkisian. With Athens bar scene they'd never have to worry about him leaving
