Really? REALLY?

Fix the way even well-hit balls do not carry as they should. Since they won't change the bats, they can change the balls to the MLB kind that will allow the ball to carry more in the air due to less drag.

Fix what is wrong with college baseball right now. Nothing is wrong with MSU except Wes Rea's diet.

thanks but the way I see it, it is fair to both sides right? it is kinda like a coach for a football team fussing about the rain that caused turnovers. It rained on both sides. I think one should play with the hand they are dealt. I would not be surprised if something is done, but if they were using a wooden bat like big boys do then that would not have gone out either right?

The OSU batter stroked the ball about as well as possible and would normally be a game winning homer but....
Doesn't matter, the balls, bats and dimensions are what we have at this point. Just have to manage what's there, till they change it.

Sorry. Misread I guess. I thought you were referring to college baseball.

I am...seems some people are complaining about the fence dimensions and the way the ball is wound..Why do we have whiners is my point. Play with the rules the way they are handed down because it is both sides that have the same rules

Yes, it is...but it is not baseball as it is supposed to be played. It takes away from the game.

Comparing elements on a given day to how equipment change has gone too far and damaged the quality of the game makes no sense.

Chances are, a ball like the final out carries out the park compared to the dead bats used now. But we know that the pro ball can solved that problem without changing the current bats, which are safer when it comes to close-range line drives that can be dangerous and even deadly.

Changing the ball is the way to go, imo.

No one is whining. You may not believe this, but internet message boards exist for discussion and debate. For the record, I wanted State to win. But to see a ball like that not clear the fence is a microcosm for the problems in the current college game.
LSU fans tend to know about and discuss such issues more than Bama fans because we care about college baseball.

really surprised the final out wasn't a home run..seemed like he pretty much got ALL of it..that stadium is incredibly hard to hit a homerun out of apparently.. p.s. frick the bats

Holy crap guys, I just got home from watching the game at my bro's house. WHAT A GAME! Looks like we knocked some of the nerves out early (Frost
) and the top of the lineup came through late. Of course Holder once again came up huge and State takes one from the #3 national seed (not that the seeds mattered to begin with) Hail State and keep it up!

Yeah but if we had hotter bats this game would've been totally different all around so that last hit wouldn't have made as much of an impact.
Yep. I was telling some people from State that Oregon State's style of baseball would come back to haunt them in Omaha. State plays the perfect style for that park. I thought it was a good matchup for State going in and frankly State didn't play a great game. They had some shitty at-bats (although the umpire DID NOT do them any favors). I knew all those homers OSU was hitting in the regionals would be long fly ball outs. It's all about how you build your team.
Cohen builds his teams for post-season baseball. OSU has some amazing power, but that doesn't help you much out there. If they bring back gorilla bats more teams will recruit power. States team is probably entirely different if the bats are hotter. LSU's teams certainly look different than the past.

My money is on Louisville for the next one. I just hope Indiana can burn their pitching a bit before we see them. With the day in between games and a deep pen I trust our coaching will be ready for either. Holder has a chance to become a living legend if he keeps it up and I agreed that our team is built to go deep.

Same, I think Louisville is the team in this bracket that gives MSU the most trouble.
