I thought he was being very lenient in that situation. Showboats would have run him right there. I always like the warning.

Yep, every pitch counts. Park is big, use the WHOLE field...or go home. Nail meet coffin.

a low scoring BB game is like a 13-10 SEC football game between two great teams. I just can't believe UCLA as a team is batting under 170 and they are 2-0.

Production. Making every baserunner count. Get'em on, Get'em over, get'em in. My kind of BB.

Slow the pitch down, play offense, put the pressure on the D. Fox is winning the mind game right now. Two runs is far from insurmountable.

Probably. But if you have an out, you have life.

I saw this in a MSU article in the BR Advocate this morning. A direct quote from Wes Rea.....this makes me like him a lot more. I still don't think he is a great hitter and his swing at times makes him an easy out.....but if I would have been an elite HS athlete at football and baseball that is the same attitude I would have taken.

Yeah Wes has been quoted as saying he didn't want to limp the rest of his life, on his decision to play baseball<football.
Here's a spinoff question though-
Is Wes Rea a trailblazer for a new generation of student athlete that is conscious of their future health and therefore chooses a 'safer' sport?
I ask this in reference to the light that's shining on the NFL's former players and the findings are troubling.

Maybe....I think though that the inner city kids will always play football.....football does a better job of reaching those folks whether that be by design or by coincidence.

Agreed, there's too much money to be had, even at the expense of their life.
