Kid wasnt even on any top 10 or 15 lists going into the spring for top Mississippi players in the c/o '11. I have to agree with you that he will automatically shoot up from a no star to a 4* over night simply because he committed to BAMA.

Judging by his size, I'd say he deserves a 4-star ranking...unless he's just totally clumsy.

I live about 20 mins from him, so I plan on going to watch him play some this year. My dad works with his dad, so he'll be "well taken care of" if you catch my drift.

If players were ranked by size then Jared Lorenzen would have been a 5-star QB.

There is no doubt in my mind about this.

Chizik didn't want him.

His only other offers were Ole Miss and Southern Miss, but congrats. anyway.

I remember reading about this guy a few months ago. His film is pretty solid for a TE. Good hands, good route runner, good second level blocker. Welcome aboard!

Why would he? He would not fit into that high school gimmick offense.

Congrats on the pick up. By tha way, I was looking at rivals and notice that Texas already has 19 commitments. I wish we had the luxury of picking any in state 4* recruit we wanted like they do.

I know right. I wish we could too. If we could sell off FSU and Miami to GA and Cuba respectively we would dominate FL recruiting.

We lost one 5 star DB and one 5 star WR to FSU and GA the last couple of years.

I think if that were the case Lorenzen would have been the first 6 star recruit.
