If you gave him easy reads he'd eat you alive passing.
A lot of the easy reads still weren't simple enough for him. Even though he stunk it up against OU, the Tennessee game may have been worse given how many wide open receivers there seemed to be on nearly every pass play. It was like he didn't even know they were on the field.
A lot of people in this thread seem to think 'Bama fans are predicting Simpson to be some legendary badass, when in reality we're just hoping for a smart game manager who can hit short and intermediate routes with at least some degree of consistency since the last guy couldn't. DeBoer's offense will take care of the rest like it has his entire coaching career.

At this stage no one knows what he is other than 9-4 in his first year as Alabama's head coach.

Since beating the mighty Tide is numero uno on the booger's goals, they should go "all in" (again) on a qb who had success in beating Bama. Like they did with Calzone.
Yeah and they found one in the guy OU ran off. He did beat Bama. I think he completed 10 passes for 68 yards. LOL!
In all seriousness, he is a good runner and reminds me a lot of the QB Auburn had last year. Again, LOL!
