You have to replace your entire secondary
What? We lost Golson and Prewitt. Golson is replaced by Tee and Bridges, not hurting there. Hilton moves up top to replace Prewitt. Hilton > Prewitt...I don't think that's hard to argue. We return Hilton, Conner, Elston...all starters for two years...how is that "replacing the entire secondary?"

and the best starting QB you've ever had.
Most productive. Far from the best. I've always been a fan of Bo, but don't act like you ever praised him until now when you can use him as a point in an attempt to convince yourself Ole Miss will take a step back
quote:
You have absolutely no depth at the LB position.
We've heard that every year under Freeze...literally...every fricking year. 365 days ago if I told you DT and Keith Lewis would contribute the way they did last season, you would have laughed. 2 years ago, same story for Bryant. Nkemdiche/Johnson/Russell/Gates/Caldwell will do just fine. If Mike Marry can succeed, any of those guys can.
quote:
You don't have the best TE in the nation, you have a WR playing TE who is completely useless for run blocking.
Fine and y'all have a RB playing QB who can't accurately throw a ball for shite. See what I did there?
quote:
To top it off, you return an entire OL, that was incredibly shitty last year with exception of one game.
So shitty we were still able to succeed, yet they all return.
quote:
I'll give you the "maybe best WR corp"
k thnx

Even if we assume that Treadwell is back at 100% in game, which is very unlikely.
...because he wears an Ole Miss jersey. If he played for MSU, you'd have a vastly different opinion. Last I checked, he's one of two WR's on the Vegas Heisman and the only WR to remain on there the whole time.
Anything can happen, but you're a damn fool if you think pre-season, fully healthy MSU is not only better than Ole Miss, but 5 games better.

Plus you are replacing Pruitt and Golson, I'll be shocked if anyone steps in and adequately fills their shoes in year one. Those guys were good college football players and a huge part of what made that defense good.
So good, you can't even spell their damn names right...roflmfao

don't compare Jamal Peters to seasoned, SEC veterans like Hilton, Brown, and Hampton, please.

No, I would say the same if he was in maroon. Lower leg/ankle injuries are hard to come back from, especially for skill position players.

so basically Ole Miss should win the national championship this year? addition by subtraction at every position, and your weaknesses aren't really weaknesses. by the sounds of how great the team was you'd swear you didn't lose 4 games last year

He thinks we are predicting 15-0 or something.
Hell, he predicted us to go 5-7. Keep that in mind. The 2015 Rebals somehow get five games worse.

I'm not sure what to think about Treadwell's recovery. I'm not an orthopedic surgeon as I am merely a lowly law clerk. Anyone wanna chime in with experience or knowledge?

If you're going to argue that they weren't outstanding for ole miss last year, you need to go back and watch some games. I have nothing more to argue with you.

I can look at Ole Miss's schedule and see 7 wins right off the bat. UT Martin, Frenso State, Vandy, FLA, New Mexico State, Memphis, and A&M. The other games could be a toss up. I will say Bama will be a loss, since it is away and they will want blood after the last time. The rest could go either way. The Egg Bowl will go to MSU since it has been declared that the home team always win.

AC is a homer, admittedly. The secondary will still be very good, for the record. Bookmark if you think I'm wrong.

That isn't my prediction, some other poster said that. I think there is too big a range of possibilities, not sure where to predict you guys to finish in all honesty.

My B dawg. I thought I was replying to Sancho.

quote:Never even mentioned at that. We won 9 games last year, our defense will be the same(slightly better), our whole OL is back, but we still have no OL depth or capable RBs. By that assessment, I think it's easy to see, I see Ole Miss being around 9-4, maybe 10 or 11 wins if bounces go our way(LSU/AU games last year). I don't see how you got that from me laughing at a 5 win prediction.

All BS aside, I'm gonna miss watching Prewitt play. He played passionately and was a great leader. He is one of my favorite Rebals of all time and was really cool the one time I met him, although he drank Burnett's vanilla vodka straight

Y'all keep hoping your little home team Egg Bowl thing works. Y'all have been all over that shite all summer.

I am a homer in some instances, we all are, but I made zero predictions except that we will win more than 5 games...and that's far from a prediction, that's a take it to the grave promise.

He was terrible in coverage but people were scared shitless to go anywhere in his area.
...and that's all we needed out of him.

I knew it was a trend, but didn't believe it until the last two years. One team has to be miles better than the other to win that game on the road. We didn't look like we even got off the bus last year.

It has been true for the past 4 years so far.

Where did I argue that? I just find it funny that we defend these guys, y'all laugh, they become good, and then y'all say they are irreplaceable when we say we have equally talented guys waiting. It's deja vu every year.
