Fitz has been quoted as saying he knows he’s Tua’s placeholder and his job is to mentor him until he’s ready. He’s played all over the league for 16 years and he’s almost 40. Dude is probably ready to hang it up.

THIS. The only thing between the Dolphins and a 4 game winning streak was a few interceptions Fitz through against arguably the best team in the NFL (Seattle) in a game they could have won. They have been absolutely dominant in their 3 wins winning by a average of 23 points. I think thre plan was to let Fitz play until the Dolphins were out of contention but they are more improved in the first year of this rebuild than they expected.
