LSU also had plenty of time this year.
Not after the bad call, which is the point of this conversation. That bad call led to a Bama FG, which made it a two score game.
So at the same time the refs killed what was probably going to be our last chance to score, they handed Bama the opportunity to put the game out of reach.
We got it from both ends there.

LSU also had plenty of time this year. If they hadn't touched the punter, then they would have had a shot. If Lee hadn't thrown a pick next series, then they would have had a shot.
But in bamas defense,if that 04 would have been called PI then bama scores, the momentum probably would have never switched to LSU allowing them to score big later in the game.
That's what gets me the most about these calls and no-calls.
They are huge momentum busters.
In college football momentum is just as important as the head coaches.

We actually got out of that situation. Bama didn't score on that drive.

It was a two score game by that point. So no, we didn't have a shot. The bad call killed our shot.

Idk but that was the worst call I've ever seen.
Aubbies should never talk about pass interference calls. Y'all got away with plenty of them in 2006.

We should've been able to overcome it if we wanted to win, but we lost to the better team.
I see what you did there.

I saw University of Houston score twice in the final minute this week. You had a shot. You were trying to move the ball and you turned it over. Lee has done that a few times.

Please. Spare me. This is the SEC. Games like that are flukish.

Tennessee almost beat us down by 2 scores with the ball and 3:29 to go. These things can happen but not when you throw a pick. Crompton moved the ball down the field to give his team a chance for the onside kick. Lee threw a pick within 3 plays.
I understand the odds weren't great LSU still had the ball with 3:04 left and turned the ball over in 3 plays and 60 seconds.
It doesn't change the fact that the replay call was bad. I understand that. I'm just saying that 3:04 is a lot of time. Of course it seems like more when you've saved your timeouts however that's another story.
