LSU fans, always so knowledgeable about everything Bama. It seems like only yesterday they were telling how Bear was dead and the football program died with him.
UK is clearly at the top in basketball. Other than them, there's no other program that Bama can't compete with.

You cite wins - (which Alabama has had more opportunities) - but the biggest factors are always going to be SEC championships and NCAA tournament success.
And Alabama is tied with UT with the third most SEC regular season titles at 8. And is second in SECT titles with 6. Alabama has 21 NCAA tournament appearances to LSU's 20, while LSU has far more success with four Final Fours and 6 Elite Eight appearances. Alabama has 9 Sweet 16 appearances and 1 Elite Eight.

That just proves my point that they are grouped with LSU/UT and are behind UF/Arkansas.

Edit: nm
And where are you seeing 9 Sweet sixteens for Bama? I see 8. I also see 20 tourney appearances. The same as LSU and 1 more than UT. Either way its splitting hairs and its clear Arkansas and UF are above those 3 programs and LSU/Bama/UT are in the next grouping.

History says Alabama can lay claim to that.

If not the best every year or so.
Oh history tells you this? You've won like 1 SEC title in the last 25 years.
But year, history supports that posters delusional claim that you can be the best team every year, as evidenced by the great history of success by the program.
Look, can Alabama be a solid basketball program? Sure, so can several teams in the SEC that fail to maintain consistency as a basketball program. But at least we're not delusional enough to make these dumbass statements.
