LSU will get the chance to prove they have staying power. We'll see.

We’ll be back in the CFP next season, not sure about the following.

Clemson OC Did LSU a huge solid by underutilizing Etienne in the game...they should have run him exclusively after going up 17-7.

All I see is coulda, woulda, shoulda

Clemson scored on the four drives where Etienne had two or more touches...punted on all the drives where he had one or fewer touches...do the math.

The math I did said Etienne was averaging 2.8 ypc in the second half. Maybe that might have factored into him not being a bigger part of the game plan.

Yes they’ve been in the NC a lot recently but only won 2

Only won two of the last four championships? That's terrible.

He's still 20 yrs old

Maybe he's knows himself and didn't want to enter the adult world at this time

Going Pro to chase money to help family sometimes isn't the best move for the player

I hope he stays injury free, I thought he should have gone Pro, but at age 20 , I can see why he stayed

Most running backs in the NFL are done by the time they hit that 28-30 IF they make it.

Eitienne will finish Clemson as the all-time rusher with as least 2 national titles (maybe 3?). He will have a degree that will serve him well for the rest of his life. He will be on Clemson's ring of Honor as the all time greats. That will guarantee access to opportunities for the rest of his life with the connections he will have with the Clemson alum.

He will get an insurance policy that will take care of him if he gets injured.

The best example I can compare is CJ Spiller. He stayed for a 4th year and is Clemson royalty. He played in the NFL until he was 30 and is back in Clemson supporting the school and program.

It's easy to say just go and take the easy money, but a RB has a shorter life expectancy in the NFL and one could argue this decision sets him up for the rest of his life.
