I mean, it’s usually pretty tough to watch the LSU/Bama game as a LSU fan

Doubt you’re looking for a real answer but here you go:

LSU is traditionally one of (if not the) toughest games for Alabama in a given year. Even seasons where LSU has fielded teams that shouldn’t be in the same ballpark, they have taken Alabama to the ropes or won. To assume Kentucky will play Bama tougher than LSU is almost laughable.

HOWEVER, Bama has shown the capacity to come out for the LSU game with a laser like focus and do something to LSU that they haven’t done to anyone else. Where literally everyone else in the conference can say “at least we scored a point/passed the 50/etc”.

After what LSU did to Alabama last year, I would not be surprised to see that level of focus. I would not be surprised that when we look back, on paper Kentucky played Alabama closer. I’d love to believe that Saban is on the decline but I don’t believe that yet.

The focus of the question is to compare the experience of the Kentucky players against the loss of experienced players that LSU has this year. Simple comparison since Alabama plays both.

Kentucky’s seasoned players are still not as talented as LSU’s green players. If O gets the squad ready to play, LSU will be a tougher opponent. As the poster above you said, bama will have a better focus for LSU so bama will probably play better against LSU, but make no mistake, LSU will be the tougher opponent.

So, in your mind talent is graded higher than experience. Interesting.

Wondering now if I has phrased the question without attaching team names if the answer would be the same? Wonder where most people stand?

Never thought I would see the day that Bama would actually be concerned about UK in football.
The decline is real!
