No, the "Cam" thing broke over the winter with vague information from MSU after Newton signed with AU. AU and the SEC were aware of the rumor. The SEC office asked MSU for details but none came until after the season started. MSU said they were too busy at the time to provide details. They found the time once Newton was named the starter and was doing well.
Note: MSU continued to recruit Newton up to the day he signed with AU.

The NCAA could have done the PC action and stuck it to AU after the season, remember they did it to USC years after. They throughly investigated AU and found nothing. Nowhere in its history has this organization investigated a member school and then praised them for their level of compliance .

Wrong! It broke publicly during the season, but the NCAA, Auburn, and the SEC were all aware before the season ever started.

Wrong. The NCAA had been investigating since April. It was "leaked" to the press right before the UGA/bama run. I have always thought that was odd timing for something like that to "leak".

Cam has never impacted me negatively in a direct manner, I'm going off of his track record and more importantly personal conversations from those who have worked with him and his associates.
