I'll go with the Moo State kid because he'll see the most playing time of any of the incoming Freshman.

I think RS will get some touches but not enough and he won't play slot.

I think Morgan Newton will take over running the Kentucky offense by the sixth game. Mike Hartline just doesn't cut it. He can't throw long at all.

I'll bet you Shepard takes more snaps at QB this year than Slot WR.

As a real QB, or a WildCat QB? THere is a big difference.

I assume LSU will use Shep as a WildCat QB, instead of a true dropback QB

I'll bet you he'll run it more than he throws it.

Well of coarse he will but I bet he has double the yards running than receiving.

I also expect alot of wild tiger this year from him.

Jarrett Lee will be a serviceable back up QB for LSU. This will allow Crowton the ability to use Russell Shepard everywhere on offense as a Freshman IMO.

He could start if he comes in and impresses the first week or so.

Not a chance in hell of learning Gus's offense that quickly, he may see playing time late in the year if he applies himself but he will not be in the mix early.

I wish nothing but good things for Mississippi State. If we can't win the west, then I hope they do. Those cow bells are precious.

Morgan Newton

That would be my choice as well. He gets the nod over the Moo State kid because he's on a much better team and will put up bigger numbers IMO.
