Correct me if I'm wrong, but Miles is 8-6 against coaches ranked ahead of him.

3-3 against the top 2. Without a doubt 21 spots better.

These rankings are a joke.

ETA: And how the hell do you rank those that have yet to coach a single game as a head coach?

Kiffen at 90 is a joke. He shouldn't be in the list at all IMO.

If you are in the SEC, you should be on the list. I love how Mullen is 75, with Kiffen and Shannon in the 90s though.

So in his first year with pretty much all of his own players Les laid a gigantic egg...

He had all of his "own players" in 2007 when he won a NC. Unless you go by that inanely dumb argument that Saban's staff brought in in 2003/4 who were coached by Miles' staff for 3 years weren't "Miles' players".

But if you go strictly by the Gump argument of "players recruited prior to 2005"...there were plenty of those guys STILL out there last year.

2. Nick Saban

10. Mark Richt

11. Steve Spurrier

The fact they ranked Mark Richt ahead of Steve Spurrier is just fricking stupid. I would say Nick Saban being ahead of Spurrier is dumb.

Spurrier would be kicking asses and taking names if he was at a program that was recruitable(if thats a word). Only coach from the SEC I put in contention with Spurrier on the list is Meyer.

They give Saban too much credit for everything. How can you give a coach credit for almost 4 seasons of his old program new accomplishments because he recruited players. I don't think their is a coach in the histroy of college sports who has gotten that much credit from his old program new accomplishments. How can you say Saban without a doubt was going to do what Miles has done at LSU? People have given Saban so much credit for shite he diidn't even do he has basically added another 3 top ten finishes, a NC, and has doubled his career bowl wins to his resume for recruiting.

Also Spurrier should get bonus points for being a bad arse player and coach.

How can Bowden and Jo Pa not be higher on the list ?

That's why people still think Miles is a joke. We saw the way he won his NC. Thank God for West Virgina.

During the whole regualar season they were calling it one of the most competitive years. They were saying how deep of a field they had with elite teams. How in the frick is it a joke a team won the NC that year with two losses?

The only team that could have truly competed in the SEC in 2007 from 2008 was UF. So how the hell is it a joke that LSU won the NC with two losses?

Every team in the nation that year including USC had two losses. Either way you would have had a 2 loss champ over OSU. Guess that means if USC won that year they would have been a joke to right. Stop being jealous. Miles recruits with the best of them and has a great staff now. Like I said before just be happy with what the Bear brought you.

It's funny how u try and bag on LSU's 2 loss NC when ur shitty arse team failed hard last year at the end of the season. Epic choke job by your savior Nicky. Your whole season will be remembered for the Epic fail in the end, nobody will remember how you go there except you dellusional gumptards. So before you try and pick fights make sure your team has actually accomplished something first.

Actually the only reason we can't forget about it is because every third post from you guys is about the SEC championship and the Sugar bowl. If anyone won't forget the end of this season, it's Joe-LSU fan. I haven't met one Bama fan that is really all that disappointed with last season.

I think Saban is an elite coach, but one reason he has been anointed a god is because of Mile's success. Every time they talk about his accomplishments they start by basically listing Mile's accomplishments.

If you were mad that Spurrier is better than Saban I am sorry; however, to think Spurrier isn't makes you an idiot.

I think this list is not really based only on history. It's also how they are doing right now. In fact, that seemed to play a huge part in how they ranked them.

I'm shocked that I haven't seen the 1st reply from any Auburn poster. I must have over looked a few.

Well I would hide too after firing Tubberville. I would rank him very high if he was still coaching.

Hawaii or Kansas. Who's your National Champ? Cuz those are the only two teams that had fewer than 2 losses.

Seriously dude, get over it. A gump calling another team's national title a joke is THE ironic statement of ironic statements.
