We had folks sure that he would jump here in a heartbeat if offered.
Maybe the guy is just wanting the dust to settle before he jumps again. Kiffin has stayed down there longer than I would have ever imagined.

SC was picked 14th in the SEC last year and they turned out alright.

Beard would’ve taken the Arkansas job if not for the non-compete we wanted in his contract.

Beard is still there. I think you're wrong, he didn't want anything to do with Arkansas. I think what happened was he came to Ole Miss as damaged goods and found something. It reads like a Lane Kiffin novel.
The barn used the same business model. They hired Pearl who also came with serious baggage and they liked it so much they decided to hire Hugh Freeze who is their version of Lane Kiffin. It's the exact same business model.
If Beard gets his NIL money and talent he needs, like Kiffin, he will sit tight.
