Anyone else feel like A Kamara is a poor man's version of Sony Michel? Seems like both are about the same type of player, but with Michel being more explosive and jukey. Tenn fans should know about Michel breaking them ankles. It is going to be awesome to see Chubb and Michel join the league with other UGA guys like Gurley and Crowell.

Youre calling a guy who is completely tearing up NFL defenses a poor mans version of a guy thats not even in the league yet

The secrant never disappoints. Jesus

It’s a complete idiot take to call some dude in college the superior version to an historic season put up by Kamara.

Dude leads the league in yards per carry at 7. Almost 2 yards per ahead of 2nd. And I think his ypc is a record at this point.

I think Kamara will be right at 2k yards from scrimmage at the end of the year. That’s with him missing most of the Falcons game and the first 2 games with AP taking touches.

Let’s be real and not trolls.

Kamara has been flat out historically awesome

Preach!

Kamara has performed at an insane level for a rookie -- I really don't know what else he could do to get some damn respect. I like Sony Michel but they're not the same RB. Sony DOES fit in a similar hybrid role but to compare him to AK at this point is like saying Brady is a poor man's Fromm.

I think Sony Michel has every tool to be successful in the NFL but let's be real even in our homerism.

Looking at the top 10 running backs in the NFL yardage wise, the SEC has 4:

3. Gurley
6. Ingram
8. Fournette
10. Collins

Not too shabby!

I think people should wait and see about Sony. We can see and know what Kamara is doing. He has been flat out phenomenal. Talent in college does not always translate to the NFL. Average players in college turn out to be HOFamers in the NFL, and Heisman winners in college fizzel out.

Right now, Kamara is doing work.

Gurley on pace for 2,000+ yards from scrimmage and 20+ total TD’s. Freaking beast, deserves some MVP votes

They need to rename the MVP trophy, the QB of the year award...

but I do not believe Michel has better agility or vision than Kamara does. He's faster sure

Show me where Kamara has better moves than these:

He is compared to Sony Michel. They are the same type of back and Michel is probably faster in the 40 and has better juke moves. It isn't a knock on Kamara, just shows you how much of a stud Michel will be.

Is Sonny Michel a starter at UGA?

No

So you think a back up is better that one of the better RBs in the NFL?

That’s rich. And you’re a complete idiot. Just saying.

Is Kamara the starter for the 'ain'ts? No.

Both are similar in build but Michel can do just about everything better than Kamara. Speed, agility, pass catching, concussion resistance, etc.

Kamara was the 2nd stringer behind J Hurd. J Hurd isn't anything close to be on Chubb's level. Gurley > Michel > Chubb > karmara > hurd.

Did you just say Sony Michel is a better pass catcher than Kamara? You just must be really young or something. Kamara is probably the best pass catching back in the NFL right now and I'm not even a Saints fan.

Not a single one of you morons could have even guessed Kamara would be playing as well as he has, so who is to say what Sony Michel or any top RB will be doing a year from now. Hell, Kamara wasn't as good in college as Michel is.

Are all of those UT gifs of Kamara supposed to impress me? The guy couldn't even cut it at Bama and put up pedestrian numbers at UT. You can put up gifs until you're blue in the face. It doesn't change that.

You are an idiot. Michel plays as much as Chubb does.

Shall we compare Michel's college stats versus Kamara?

Yet he couldn't do it in college.

Plus he won't be putting up those numbers if he was the main guy. Teams are focusing in Ingram, but if Ingram got hurt and he had to carry the load, his stats would take a hit. Looks like he is injury prone as well.

It was pretty obvious what Kamara was at Tennessee and he wasn't used that specific way all the time for them. Great pass catcher and stretch/outside run RB but he was used as an every down guy a lot for them, especially after Hurd quit.

It wouldn't be surprising if Michel could pull similar though, he's a guy that NFL scouts will love after his combine...even though he stayed for 4 years. He too can do every downs but would be even better in a 3rd down role, pass catching, stretch/outside runs.

(He has very few catches this year, but it seems like a lot of the catching opportunities have been given to Swift...)

Exactly. Plus we had Ganis, the white dude from a small college that straight up outran him to the corner and stuffed him 1v1. Michel would have decapitated his ankles if it were him.

Kamara is on a whole other level than Michel. Sorry
