How is this crying ? I dont even have a dog in the fight. Im just pointing out the committee sucks. See aTm in the top 4 on the first poll. If you want 1 v 2 go back to the BCS then.

I loved that Clemson crushed Urban Cryer. That's the best result for me. I dont think they should have gotten in but im thrilled they did and got punked.

Stop making this about Bama

This year 4 was plenty of teams. I should have never brought up penn state. They lost twice and the regular season needs to mean something, I agree

However, not every year is like this year

In 2014, 6 teams had 1 loss. All 6 of those teams deserved a chance, as nobody separated themselves

That is my point, and I think anyone being rational and not getting angry would agree

Last year's semifinals weren't all that competitive either.

And it produced a hell of a NC game. This is making my point. Pick 4 and you're almost guaranteed you get #1 vs #2 in the NC game. 2014 was no different.

Mullen, your are crying more than anyone in here. Not sure why you are getting so worked up

Because where do you stop? People like you whined we needed a playoff system. Now we have one and you are still crying? There is no doubt in my mind that Clemson and Bama are the two best teams in the nation.

Of course, according to you, maybe we need a 10 team playoff. And if you are still unhappy we do a 16 team.

And how much more boring would it be to watch the #1 team beat the #6 or #8 seed by 50.

Used to work that way under the old bowl system and those old bowl games actually produced far better matchups. Bowl committees fought for teams that would make a good game and more often than not got their way. Plenty of times number 6 or 8 walloped the guy who thought he was going home with the prize.

Don't think the playoff committee would do as well as those old bowl committees did though. The committee would seed the teams instead of matching them up.

1 year out of 3 so far though. I still think it's an edge case though. I guess time will tell.

75% of the time 4 teams will be enough. But it is that other 25% that is worth discussion. You have had good discussion, not sure why ystar has to dog LSU in this. Some of y'all are getting out of hand colo

I remember they were suppose to crush "UForfeit" because they were all of a sudden one of the best.

You're the most delusional of the bunch

I'm not arguing that LSU should have been in a 4, 6, or even 8 team playoff this season. If you pulled your head our if your arse for a second, you would see that. I don't think you are even capable of that though.

You're correct. Not every year is like this year and last.... however most years are.

So why overhaul a working system because of anomaly years?

That doesn't make any sense.

The only issue I have is there is nothing defined on how to get in. It the 3 years of the playoffs, it seems they have flip flopped on what they value. So it feels like more of an invitational

If you make it p5 champs plus one wild card who is the top ranked, you at least give a team a defined path to start the year. At this point, you could go undefeated in the SEC and still not guarantee a birth

I want the four best teams in -- a conference win is a bonus and doesn't prove that you are one of those 4 best teams. What if Florida would have beaten us in the SEC CG?

and I want that too. However, the committee cant pick them. Let the system on the field pick them. IF UF beat you guys then, to me, they are top 4 b/c they beat the top team in the country. There was no way they were going to but they earned the right. Penn State earned it tOSU did not. That's all im saying here. You can bet your arse if USC had figured out how to win the pac12 they would have gotten in with multiple losses.

You sound like a child. Discussing what could possibly be a better system is not whining.

Im only complaining because the "committee " took t OSU over their conference champ due to $$$$ and fan base. I like the playoff but we're almost back to the AP picking who those teams are. Maybe worse. Us the BCS method and I dont think you have much, if any, crying
