Maybe so, but Coach Bryant was also a part of BAMA's storied history as a player. He was part of the 1934 NC BAMA team. That pushes his legacy way back in Crimson Lore. Playing with a broken leg vs the viles and rasslin' a bear just makes him a badazz before he became the winningest coach in college football history.

While this is a nice tribute, I do find it strange that people will bring up dead people's birthdays and say something like Happy 130th birthday, Dead Guy!
