I'm curious...what party do you vote for?
B/c Tillman was a Democrat, and the Democratic party supported slavery, KKK,lynching, segregation,Civil War, Jim Crow, etc.
Do you support Democratic party changing its name?
Are you ok with asking black people to vote for a party with that name?
You really should be embarrassed by this post... you're either a) dumber than shite or b) being intentionally obtuse to ignore the point that Republican and Democratic parties switched platforms right around the turn of the century (largely as part of an effort to "win the west" as the new voting bloc presented itself).
Idgaf about Tillman, Tillman hall, or anything else to do with Clemson... but continuing to spew this drivel as somehow a political intellectual is frankly ridiculous.
Fortunately, better answers from people not named Tillman have actually given some pretty good background here.

yeah,
it makes sense to believe that the GOP and Democratic leaders got together and mutually agreed to switch platforms, after popular support for white racist policies went down so much that the Democratic party gave them up.
What you are saying is the GOP pushed civil rights legislation when there was more support for white racist policy but chose to become racist after support went down.
lol
also, the GOP doesn't have the racist policies of the Democrat party back in the day. It not factual to assert the parties 'switched platforms'.
Tillman and all those racist Democrats were fiscal liberals like FDR and Obama.
If they switched platforms , the GOP would be the fiscally liberal party today.

He can't tell the difference between someone holding racist views versus someone literally murdering people because of their race.

that wasn't my point at all.
my point is you NEVER talk about that building on Florida's campus while posting numerous times about a building in SC.
That's hypocritical.
I don't think you care about Tillman Hall being named after a racist. you want to run your mouth about a program that has been better than FLorida in football in recent years and gets good players out of Florida.
You also vote for Tillman's party and don't demand it change its name.
Asking black voters to vote for a party called Democratic Party is like asking Jews to vote for a party called the Nazi Party.
I'm all for changing Tillman Hall so I don't have to hear about it.
Deshaun Watson was talking about his love for Clemson this week yet you and others are trying to make it out as racist. lol

Thank you for bringing this up, CNB is never accountable for this, people just gloss right over it.

It’s because no a lot of people know what CNB stands for

It's literally "Cuck iN Blythewood". We need to raise awareness.

you too busy posting about raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaacism and searching the internet for dumb memes.
you haven't posted about the topic once which isn't about Tillman Hall.
I still haven't seen any Gamecock fan explain how Clemson only focuses on football while SC focuses on every sport.
I was surprised to see Clemson had beat SC in basketball 10 out of the last 14 years. Typically colleges in larger cities are able to recruit better in basketball than colleges in rural areas.
Clemson spent a lot of money recently upgrading the baseball and basketball facilities. New tennis facility currently under construction. A softball stadium is about to be built.

Just so we can all hone in on your central thesis here, you're saying that the Republican party of *today* has the same fundamental platform of the republican party of say... 1870... give or take some modernisms?

I'm saying the GOP today does't have the Democratic party platform of the segregation era. You specifically asserted that the parties switched platforms which is not true.
Please feel free to list the segregation policies of the GOP. .
You clearly don't think for yourself. The Democrat party spoonfed you the lie that the parties switched platforms. Or you are just doing your party propaganda yourself.

Doesn't SC get more money as a member of the SC than ACC schools?
LINK
Business Insider says SC is no. 18 in sports related revenue. Clemson didn't make their list.

I'm not the one that thinks the GOP today has a segregation platform like the Democrats back in the day.
He probably doesn't even know GOP voters in SC elected one of three black senators, Tim Scott.
