If that's the direction you care to go with it.

My dog took a crap on my front lawn this morning.
That's about as logical an argument as Tillman has made in this thread.

There are two other ones I could take:
1. I DGAF if it was in poor taste, that was the joke.
2. It isn't in poor taste at all, Georgia Tech should focus on serving students from Georgia, the Southeast, the US in that order. Foreign students should be an after thought and a very small group, not damn near 1 out of 5 students. They're selling out their state for tuition money and virtue signaling.
Debate whichever offends you more.

I never said I was offended, but it is in poor taste. There is a difference.

Except.... accepting foreign kids that are highly qualified raises the prestige of a University. Bringing in better professors as a result, providing better research and other accolades as a result. Overall, raising the endowment substantially. All of top schools do it.
South Carolina, on the other hand, cannot get those students.

So what?Tillman didn't even serve in Confederacy and why do you keep making these comparisons???It's like comparing a soldier who served in the German infintry during WWII to Joseph Goebbles

*who are highly qualified
...and often they are not. Chinese exam spoofing and prep school fraud are a huge issue. Foreign students may raise prestige on paper but I personally wouldn't trade the average foreign student for the average American student...but this is verging on a political discussion where we debate values which isn't appropriate for this board.

That's nice. You never answered my question from last night, where in New Jersey are you from?

why don't you direct your insincere complaints about Tillman Hall to the Clemson board of trustees.

this from the redneck Florida sidewalk fan who thinks large universities like Clemson only have students from the local area.

Why is it that you think every single person that posts here is a sidewalk fan?

I don't.
If he had gone to FLorida, he wouldn't view another large university like Clemson as a community college.
He views universities as similar to NFL football teams.
I don't have a problem with sidewalk fans in general. I'm talking about the redneck variety.
Why do SC fans say Clemson only focuses on football even though Clemson has better W-L than SC in other sports. lol

Against SC Clemson has won
2 in a row and the last 10 out of 14 in basketball
4 series in a row in baseball
4 in a row in soccer
4 in a row in football
but Clemson just focused on football while SC trying to be good in every sport? lol

Why did y'all kick and scream to start the Palmetto Series between us? Because you thought you'd win it?
You were sorely mistaken. And it gives points for wins over the other team in every sport we both have. When is the last time you won it?

palmetto series only been around for 3 years.
Two years SC only won it 8-7 and keep in mind it includes an academics competition and food drive competition.

In college I went so much that they learned my name. I wouldnt have had to run/workout a quarter of the amount I did if I just never went there. So good though.

Just a few of Clemson University BOT member Ben Tillman's quotes in case they were not posted earlier-
"We of the South have never recognized the right of the Negro to govern white men, and we never will. We have never believed him to be the equal of the white man, and we will not submit to his gratifying his lust on our wives and daughters without lynching him." -Speech to the United States Senate
"We deny, without regard to color, that 'all men are created equal'; it is not true now, and was not true when Jefferson wrote it."- LSU Press
The rest I cannot publish without being rightfully banned, but you can read some of them Here
