I wouldn't say the win at Alabama was meaningless, because after that loss they needed help to get in. At least we controlled our own destiny. As it turns out, they got the help they needed, almost immediately, but it wasn't a sure thing on November 6th.

Now I do agree it just seems wrong our reward for winning that game is we get to risk our spot in the national championship next week while they sit at home with their ticket punched.

I would like to hear some Alabama fans' thoughts on what should happen if Georgia beats us.

The first victory does not matter to ESPN.
Matching up Alabama vs LSU will be a travesty of justice. So very unfair. Or if you will. Men agreeing without honor tarnishing what they agree to fix. The crown. Playing another rematch between the same teams. Only thing the winner this second time wins the crystal ball.
The first victory did not matter. Lifting that kind of trophy is looking more like an evil representation of the evil men who just do not care about what they pretend to believe in. The trophy then is a tarnished reflection of something honorable. A trophy unearned. A fixed game. You lose, we win. No fairness what so ever.
Earning your way into a High School degree from studying your school work by in reality passing the test. Is what we reward our young children with for earning their way. A tangible piece of work that we proudly show to each other. Money from a honest days work.
Where is the proof of Alabama # 2 ranking?

If there was a playoff this year, I would think that the result would be LSU vs. Bama for the championship. So in essence, we have the right matchup without the need for a playoff.

What is more sad is people whining about something that has not happened yet and seeming to worrying about who they are going to play. Maybe LSU can lobby for Ole Miss to be in the game.

If LSU fans think their team is that great why should they care what system is being used and who they play. Why so much energy exerted about not playing UA again, a game that still has not happened.

Regarding the BCS who cares because if a playoff was in place I would wager that most fans would agree that LSU and UA would both make it to the big game.

Tarnished trophy. Funny that was not the case if it was Oregon getting the rematch.

You are probably right, but they would have to play their way in, at a lower seed. No one complains when this happens in the NCAA Basketball Tourney if, say UNC and Duke meet. Whoever lost the first matchup had to earn their place in the game with wins, not other's losses. It's not just semantics. The distinction is important.
