I dislike him but not because of his faith, I dislike him because I think he's fake as hell, he was absolutely soliciting a prostitute then said he was just trying to throw holy water on her, he's done all those photos without shirts on working out and football pants unzipped underwear showing....then says he just was trying to inspire, If he wants to do that stuff it's fine with me but stop acting like your the second coming

What does this have to do with how he was portrayed in the MSM,who clearly don't share his values or faith. I heard him get roasted repeatedly by local and national radio talk show host along with shows like PTI and 1st take during his NFL days Compare how those exact same shows treated the players protest/ kneeling movement and get back to me.
No media outlets ever slammed him for his faith. They slammed the people who ONLY CARED ABOUT HIS FAITH.
Find me one clip (because if it exists it will be easy to find) of a legitimate media source slamming him SPECIFICALLY for his faith.

They did it at our church last night. Wife works it every year and can't stop talking about the smiles on those kids' faces each year.
Speaking of smiles...

I know everyone thinks his kid is the cutest but the new Gerber baby absolutely crushed it.

His faith is not what makes him good. His actions do that.
While some people do good things because that is what they want to do....I would be willing to bet he will tell you his actions reflect his faith.
There are an awful lot of Christians who do not do the good things Tebow do and there are some people that do good things that are not Tebow. But people need to be careful about attaching Christianity to his actions, just like they need to be careful about dismissing his actions with his Christianity. If you ask him, I have little doubt he would say his actions are a direct reflection of his faith. We should accept that.

Actually, it does. In both cases.

I don't remember this either.

I loathed Tebow as a Gator. It really zenithed around the time he gave that speech after the Ole Miss game.
But literally ever since then, I’ve rooted for him pretty vocally. My father in law was working in Florida not all that long ago and picked me up a St Lucie Mets t-shirt that I wear around the house.
He’s probably the greatest advocate for the SEC that’s ever lived and that says something. I’m proud of him.. He’s truly an amazing person and the world could use more like him.

Well, I'm curious. Tell us why.
Tell me exactly how we live in a world where good is seen as bad and bad is seen as good.
When someone makes an outlandish statement, it is up to THEM to prove the statement correct, not the other way around.
Like if I said, the moon is made of cheese. I'd have to prove it to you because I'm making the crazy statement.

Ask, and you shall receive. I was actually curious, so I looked and found this:

That's fine, but it's still his ACTIONS that make him a good person, not his faith. There are plenty of people who have faith but do shitty actions and vice versa.

I can't answer that. You would have to ask the people who did it. I assume it was because of how infatuated they were with it.

You have to understand that he made this comment based upon Christians beliefs. There are many things that were considered bad just a few short years ago that are openly accepted and celebrated today. There is no debating this point. The morality thought process changes almost continuously today. What was thought to be and universally accepted as immoral a few years ago is not accepted.

I watched it also.
Need more folks like Tebow and the Gaines. Good people.

That's crazy, though. I don't criticize people because they are interested in photography, or music, or movies. Why would the media criticize people because they are interested in a Christian.
I understand it was not you. Just pointing out the total hypocrisy of it.

Tebow isn't a good guy, he is a great guy... but there are 100s of other great athletes doing great things and that needs more exposure... we are 10 years removed and still talking about him. i'm fine with the faith narrative just change the characters some.

Perhaps those who believed these things to be immoral were wrong all along and society has evolved to see the error of its ways.
This same thing can be said about every generation. Remember, there was a time where slavery was considers moral and defended by the Bible.

Well if that post doesn’t say Christian I don’t know what does.

That's not for you to decide.
You don't get to tell someone whether or not they are Christian OR what gender they are.
