Very possible. We haven't won a big home game since 2003 and our home field advantage is historically average. Not a big history buff, tho.
Wether or not we have a home field advantage or not isn't nearly as big of a deal as us not having the disadvantage of playing on the road.

Alahunter the scarey part about your stats is the 12th in pass rush stat. Which is part of the reason they moved Marshay Green, a WR to secondary. For all Ed's recruiting accolades he forgot to recruit secondary (and O-line). Can you imagine how good these rebels can be when they get a couple more players in the secondary?!?!!!

Look for the Rebel Secondary to be stout this year.
We return 3 starters this as opposed to 1 last year. They got good as the season went on, too.

Tim Brando is a fricktard.
Yesterday he went on and on about how "Arkansas fans" were alleging that he got kicked out of the Shreveport Country Club.
I looked and looked, and eventually I found the ONE POST he was referring to on Hogville.
So in reality, ONE Arkansas fans posted that he heard Brando got kicked out of the Shreveport Country Club. Nobody else responded to that allegation, or even said "I bet thats true" or said anything else about it. It wasn't a "topic" as much as a single comment, by a single anonymous fan in a thread on an Arkansas message board.
Yet he was so offended by it that he thought he should spend a segment on his radio show talking about it.
He's a fricktard.

For a few minutes, yes. Actually, the Tim Brando show was on because the local guys (Shawn and Wally) were on break or traveling to Atlanta. I'd never heard his show before and probably won't again. I actually thought it was a local show replaying what he had said about "Arkansas fans". I kept waiting for it to be over. Only when they came back from commercial and it was still Brando did I realize it was his show. Brando can suck my cock.

wmr Brando is right about everying.
Nutt is great
Petrino is a p.o.s.
Ole miss will EXCEED expectations
and the entire nation will laugh at Arkansas and fans for running off Nutt.

I'm disagreeing with this.
Nutt is a great coach, but Petrino is probably slightly better. Arkansas looks a little better down the road at this point.
Arkansas won't ever be a power, but it was time to let Nutt go.

What exactly are you basing this opinion off of? Petrino is unproven in the SEC and I'm a bit unsure how Arkansas looks "a little better down the road".

They don't lose 13 starters next year.
Petrino is as good or better than Nutt.
I think we've got better coordinators than Arkansas, though.

Ah. To the first statement, we don't know. We may have a down year next year, but Arkansas might as well.
To your second statement...the jury is still out for me. Petrino's impressive record was against inferior competition (I just realized I sounded like WRT as I typed that statement...yikes).

I've wondered this..
So Nutt and Petrino both call there own plays? Correct
Petrino is known as an offensive genius, so does he have the edge? I think...
Tyrone Nix vs Willy Robinson
Obviously last year was a disaster...Robinson has had a pretty good career...(Had some down years)...Let's see after this season...Nix I guess with the front 7 depth
Shibest vs John L Smith
No contest Smith
Paul Petrino vs Kent Austin
I guess they are just position coaches...Both have Pro experience, both have had successful offenses...Kent Austin played QB...is this his edge?

I always find it amusing when someone posts something like “Petrino's impressive record was against inferior competition”.
Well, guess what? Nutt’s “impressive” record before arriving at Arkansas was 35-23 at Murray State (Ohio Valley) and Boise State (WAC) yet some Rebel fans claim that he is one of the best coaches in College Football.
How about Urban Meyer? His head coaching success before arriving at Florida was at Bowling Green (MAC) and Utah (Mountain West). Looks like that worked out pretty well for Florida, doesn’t it?
How about Bob Stoops and Mark Richt? Hell they went right from an Assistant Coach to Head Coach and both have seemed to flourish.
Petrino will prove soon enough that he is one of the best coaches in College Football. Just watch and see.

I thought this thread was for what Tim Brando said? Guess that is what I get for thinking!
I wonder what would have been said about Ole Miss if they had not beaten Florida last year? After all they didn't keep them from winning the NC? So, what is all the hype over? They win one game and they get ranked #3 or whatever in the polls, you would have thought they won it all last year.
