You're right. If LSU wins one more, it's tier 1 LSU and UF and THATS IT.

Then you should know that Arky > LSU right now. Les Miles has had to walk the plank of the flagship 3 out of the past 4 years. No way LSU is two tiers above arky at this moment

Why would LSU have to win a third to go there?

Headed into next season?

Tier 1:

LSU
Bama
Arkansas
South Carolina

Tier 2

Auburn
Miss State
Florida
Tennessee
Georgia (maybe)

If we are gonna talk about the last decade, there is not really much of a debate because it is LSU and Florida and then everybody else.

Hate to say it

Tier 1: Bama

Tier 2: LSU, Georgia, Florida, Auburn, Tennessee

Tier 3: Ole Miss, Miss State, South Carolina, Arkansas, Kentucky

Tier 4: Vandy

How in the frick is Tier 1 only BAMA? Just this past decade fool. LSU has a state to themselves, UF can always get talent. Tier 1 is at least those 3 teams. UGA may have an argument for tier 1, but performance has been sucking.

LSU would be the only team with 3 crystal balls in the BCS era. The only other program that could hang in that aspect would be uf...

Arkansas is seldom mentioned- outside of Arkansas. Your annual much cherished win over LSU is spoken of little but that loss over OSU, wowzer.

No. When you take ability to win and recruits into account, the way I have it listed is pretty much indisputable.

While this is true, we have 2 crystal balls that say we belong in tier 1. If taking into account only last season, then I agree that Ark. should be higher but if you're considering the last decade than I agree with the OP

Your original assessment is correct. LSU has all the potential in the world and it's pretty obvious given this last decade. Alabama has shown to be right there and I don't know who the hell thought Florida wasn't, but they are probably the SEC program with the most potential.

What has UGA done? With regards to recognized MNC UGA-2 (1942, 1980), LSU-4 (1908,1958,2003,2007), UF-3(96,06,08), AU-3(1913,1957,2010), Bama-12, UT 4 (38,50,51,98)...

Not having UF in tier 1 when you're talking recruiting, facilities, and ability to win is laughable.

Now we're getting somewhere.

Tier 1: Florida and LSU (the 2 NC club)

Tier 2: Alabama and Auburn (who would be down a tier if not for 2010)

Tier 3: Georgia

Tier 4: Tennessee, Arkansas, SC

Tier 5: Ole Miss, MSU, UK

Tier 6: Vandy

I agree. LSU was if not the best...one of the best programs in college football last decade
