I dont see any other SEC town taking this crown for awhile from us. Will it EVER translate to better recruiting tho?
Including Fayetteville, only six out of 14 SEC cities made the list: Nashville moved up two spots to No. 11; Lexington, Kentucky, entered at No. 21; Columbia, South Carolina, remained at No. 56; Knoxville, Tennessee, fell three spots to No. 64; and Baton Rouge, Louisiana, entered at No. 100.

Baton Rouge being dead last isn't exactly surprising. We have a crime problem no other SEC school really has to deal with.

Well, I guess Starkville and College Station really do suck that bad

Baton Rouge can be a fun place if you know how to look, but it's also sketchy as hell. There are literal war zones in the middle east that have a lower murder rate.

Never been to Fayetteville, but by all accounts, it’s a great town.
Unfortunately it’s in Arkansas, so I won’t be relocating.

Baton Rouge v. Kabul
Baton Rouge v. Damascus (which is currently in the midst of a Civil War)

That is just freaking sad. My wife's dad is originally from Baton Rouge and that is not how it used to be. There are a lot of cultural and political comments that could be made about the problem but I will just stick to saying it is sad and totally unnecessary.

Looks more like a ranking of terrible athletic schools to me; but hey Arkansas needs pride somewhere I guess.

On the contrary, it’s a great town!
We don’t have the natural beauty/topography goin’ for us, and it gets hot as blue blazes.
But it’s a really nice place to live.

Can’t go wrong with Fayetteville. Awesome atmosphere along Dickson, and an overall great place to be.

It's been that way at least since the late 80's, it just used to be more confined to areas white people didn't go. Now, it's much harder to avoid.

Went to Fayetteville to watch the Ags and Hogs. We had a great time there. The entire area is really nice and the downtown area is just big enough.
One of the best road trip destinations in my opinion and I have been to quite a few. Really wish Hogs and Ags played a home and home because I would much rather go to Fayetteville than Arlington.
