Not really, between Orgeron's last class and Nutt's 1st

Both were pretty terrible classes.

Safety and CB is a spot where we need some immediate help. I haven't looked at their profiles but I'm willing to bet they're guys with some good speed.....which is what we REALLY need right now in the secondary. This makes me think that either Jackson or Mathews or both will make the transition to linebacker.

Also...NIH, I haven't checked as of yet but I think we have a spot or two for Dec. grads that go towards our previous class. I'm almost certain that we have one.

When you start recruiting several juco players, it doesn't bode well. It means your coach is on the hot seat and feels the need to win now, rather than use schollies on incoming freshman.

Worked pretty well for Dan Mullen.

We got a really good freshman class last year.
We need help in the secondary now.

He means two years ago. And yes, we lost half of our 4* players from that class, but 4* players don't pan out all the time.

Ole Miss redshirted nearly their whole 2010 class which already features a pretty badass freshmen in Jeff Scott. I think if these JUCO secondary guys pan out and the DL takes a step foward Ole Miss will have a year more similiar to 08/09 than 2010. I really believe the offense is going to be legit with Mackey, Bolden, and Scott leading the way.

Yep. And 1 in every 5 from SP pan out so forgive me if I am not shaking in my space boots about Snoop.

Having said that, dude can straight scat. Only question to me is if he can keep his head on straight. A feat only a handful of USP'ers have accomplished.

Snoop is going to be pretty badass, IMO. I'm not guranteeing he'll be at State, but where ever he goes I see him being a lockdown CB. Imagine a secondary with Snoop, Whitehead, Arrington, Jackson, etc. running around.

Sawyer, Whitehead, Snoop, and possibly D. Jackson in the secondary (unless we move him to LB) with DT Shackleford, Mike Marry, and Joel Kite at LB behind Carlton Martin and Byron Bennette sounds great for our D.

sort of

I'm just saying this recruiting class + the young guys would shape up for a pretty badass defense a few years down the road.

Ole Miss would have a pretty legit secondary as well if they pulled down Snoop along with Golson, Holliman, and Johnson. Not to mention Sawyer who's from 2010.

Pretty sure we're telling snoop he can play offense.

both sides are

he'll end up as a CB, IMO. the potential there for him is too great to ignore. I think on offense he'll be a legit deep threat guy and an excellent college receiver but that isn't as good as lockdown corner which I think he is. it'll make him a hell of a lot more $$$ in 4-5 years as well.

Yeah, it's all about money for him at this point. I would imagine he is starting to see some of that thrown his way as NSD comes closer. Especially since it's legal now

Melvin Smith vs. Chris Vaughn

I'm taking Melvin.

there are 5 blue chippers in MS this year, IMO. I think that group is Snoop, Tobias, C.J, Morris, and Whitehead. It'd be pretty badass for either team to get four of the five, which I think could happen.
