eeeehhhhhhh this is pretty misleading. Prior to the saban era I don't know a single UGA fan that "hated" alabama, beyond just the superficial aspect of them being the best program historically. But besides that no. We have rarely played throughout history, we didn't have any bad blood, had two classic southern gents as some of the best coaches in history (dooley/bear), and both hate AU/TN.

The only reason there is any "hate" now is simply because AL has been so good and beat us so often. That same scenairo woudl be the same regardless of teh team though. If somehow we had some regualrly scheduled seriers with pete carrol's USC, or bowden's FSU, or any other similar scenaior where we lost a ton I'm sure we'd "hate" that team too.

And tbh, after the 21 natty (and '22s as the cherry on top to boot) I think a ton of our fans have cooled off on bama. It's a massive game between two of the best programs in america but I don't see near as much animosity post-21 as I did before it.
