Kentucky is the third best basketball team in the SEC.

How many times has Bama been on probation for recruiting violations in football?
How about UK in basketball?
Do you think it's a coincidence that the most successful programs in the SEC have been on proven to be cheating more than other schools?
I find it funny that SEC fans say LSU possibly having infractions handed down is horrible for the SEC, when the most visible programs in the conference have been busted cheating so many times.
As a matter of fact, even if LSU gets busted on this, they will still have one of the cleanest athletic programs in the conference (statistically speaking)
Do you find that slightly hypocritical?

You're 100% right, but I don't find this to be necessary considering the Bama, Kentucky, and Auburn fans to too stupid to understand that.
Regardless, LSU is the conference champs and those morons have to deal with it.

No, I don't.
I agree, everyone cheats to a certain level. However, there is cheating, then there's your HEAD COACH making deals with recruits and their parents. Not only that, but caught on FBI wiretap discussing those deals. That level of cheating is absurd, blatant, and must receive discipline.
Alabama once received probabtion because a drunk player in a bar signed an agents napkin. It's no wonder Gene and Hootie didn't report it because how dumb is that, right? We later got hammered for the Albert Means stuff, which we probably should have even though it was obviously a dirty attempt by Fulmer and Kramer to destroy Alabama for doing the same crooked stuff UT "secretly testified" to us doing.
It sucks to get caught. It really does, but when everyone else is going 65 in a 55 and you blow by doing 90 you stand out among the pack. That's my point. LSU got stupid and obviously too aggressive and they are going to be nailed for it. Alabama in the late 90's and early 2000, same. Ole Miss and Freeze, same.
Everyone is going to continue, at minimum, driving 65 in a 55. Those who choose to hit the gas harder are doing so at their own risk.
The thing I will agree with most tRanters about is the hypocrisy from the NCAA. They pick and choose who they want to hammer and who's wrist they want to slap. Punishment should be evenly distributed regardless of the program or head coach. If you're caught, you're caught. That's it. The NCAA needs to set a standard and maintain it, or all programs and conferences should leave. Jmo.
