working.
I am going to be up there for the first time the next couple days. So I figured I would see if the 3 Vol's fans (or anyone else) on here would have some suggestions on good restaurant and a good hotel.

Always like sushi, but figured there would be some good places by the river. I tend to like trying out the local spots in new places.

Knoxville has got a nice downtown area around Market Square. Lots of pretty good food there. Gay street is close by and there are some decent restaurants there. Nama is a good but expensive sushi place right in the middle if Gay street.
Stay away from the strip unless you actually do want to go after coeds. And God help you if you get tricked into going to coolbeans

Nama is damn good for sushi...
If you wanna taste of tennessee go to Calhouns on the river on Neyland drive...

The Calhouns is right on the river near the stadium,very nice spot....

Calhoun's is a fun place to eat, especially if it's a nice evening and you can eat on the deck. The food is good not great (mostly burgers, BBQ, wings), but the atmosphere is fun and the price isn't bad. And when you are done you are very close to downtown.

The Marriott over by Volunteer Landing and Ruth Cris is a good place to stay
