I called a Bama friend of mine a Gump and he just looked at me like WTF. I had to explain to him the Gump, Corndog, Barner thing.
My brother was repeating one of his same, ole, stale stores and I said, "That's Germans". I got Another WTF look that I didn't explain.
Also, whenever I see Diane Lane in a movie I want to got to Popeyes. I don't understand that one myself.

I've been a lurker on here for a couple of years, and just never jumped in. When I saw there were in game football threads with folks posting what they thought of particular plays and coaching decisions, I had to join.

People at work try to come tell me football news all the time. It's usually something we discussed on here several days ago. I'm like, "frick man, didn't you search?"

A friend of mine and I have both been longtime off and on lurkers. We would laugh about the farkers and other epicness like the Bama Faxcam girl thread.
SECr kinda slipped our mind for a while in the offseason. Then details of BMFP's accident came to light. At the time I would hangout and post over at EDSBS. I was reading a thread about the subject over there and someone mentioned that people had found her wedding registry and were trolling it. The responses over there were kind of snobby to such behavior. My immediate response was to come here. The next day when I informed my friend of what happened with BP, he immediately cleared his calendar to spend the day on SECr. I have been hooked ever since.

I try to explain to people that are "hardcore" football fans about the Rant. And they just look at me uninterested.
I'm like I'm telling you EVERYTHING gets leaked here first. I mean yeah there's a lot of bullshite. But in the end this is where I get all my info from now. I love it. And when the Rant is down I feel lost haha

This x 1000. Just reading here on some what of a consistent basis makes me look like an espn insider with all my friends. Very rarely will they tell me sports info I haven't read on here before

It is hard to explain this place to other people. Most of my friends post here, so it isn't too bad. When I meet a new guy that doesn't post here, it is always awkward to try to make him understand how addicting this place is.
