As women’s basketball. Rarely an upset and the best teams are dominant.
State had 43-2 lead at one point today. Ended up winning 110-36.

The entire history of NCAA wrestling team championships has basically been a decades long Oklahoma State dynasty followed by a decades long Iowa dynasty, and now Penn State beginning their own decades long dynasty. Iowa State and Oklahoma have also managed to win a respectable amount mixed in there.
Those five schools account for 80 of 89 Div 1 team wrestling national championships of all time
The state's of Iowa and Oklahoma alone account for 74 of 89
Oklahoma State - 34
Iowa - 23
Iowa State - 8
Penn State - 8
Oklahoma - 7
Minnesota - 3
Ohio State, Arizona State, Northern Iowa, Indiana, and Cornell College (in Iowa, not the Ivy League school)- all have 1

The talent pool is very shallow.
There simply aren't enough legitimately talented players to go around.
contrast that with men's basketball where yes the top programs get the top players but the next tier of players are still pretty damn good and the third tier of players are also still pretty good.
