I thought you aggies were supposed to be defending Charlie Strong instead of cutting him to the quick? Pathetic lot, indeed.

We're not the school ready to fire our first black head coach after only 29 games.

Neyland Stadium voted best field in nation by fans

VOLS INSIDER
By Matt Slovin,

October 16, 2014

KNOXVILLE — Neyland Stadium, with its iconic checkerboard end zones, has been voted the best field in college football, according to a fan poll.

Tennessee now ranks second in USA TODAY Sports' College Football Fan Index, which ranks fan bases based on based on social media metrics and the weekly surveys. Oregon currently maintains the top spot.

The Vols previously finished second in the best fight song category. "Rocky Top" finished behind "Ramblin' Wreck From Georgia Tech," though Tennessee's official fight song is "Down the Field."

Neyland Stadium added the checkerboard end zones in 1964, though they went away in 1968 when turf was installed. They returned in 1989.

In mid-December, one school's fan base will be named best in the country after the final cumulative poll is released."

"Kyle Field's largest game attendance was 110,631 people when Texas A&M lost to the Ole Miss Rebels with the score of 20–35 on October 11, 2014.[5] This was the largest football game attendance in the state of Texas and SEC history."

Since the Battle of Bristol you no longer have the distinction of losing the the game with the largest attendance in SEC history.

Congratulations.

We are coming in from Chicago. Staying in Austin and hitting bars Thursday and Friday and doing ACL with Mumford, Willie and the Night Sweats on Sunday. Doing a booze van for all of us to and from the game Saturday. Should be fun. One of our buddies works for the CHIVE, so can't wait to see the office and have a beer in there. Will take pics.
