i feel like a new OC specifically to run the option would be given more free rein.
It would buck history, but then again in the past Nutt only got OC's because they were forced on him or expected. maybe if it's his choice to bring one in for a new scheme, the new guy would be given some leeway.

Rumor on Ole Miss Spirit is,
Masoli will be a GA in Oxford next year &
Oregon's current OC is unhappy with Chip Kelly and wants a chance to prove himself in the SEC.
He might be coming to Oxford. Believe it when I see it. Per the Spirit mods, Nutt is seriously considering hiring an OC and relinquishing playcalling duties.

Hootie could be very successful if he truly did this. He'll need at least 3 more years to see if it works though.
